Duck Galore
It feels like Chinese New Year again. The recent impression was during my brother’s ROM last week. Mum announced miraculously that she’s cooking today, and all the 3 couples flocked home obediently to feast. All ate and indulged in their lovely dovey pairs..me too - Me & TV.
And there was duck meat … Pei Pa Duck. Fats never tasted so sinfully good - the crispy deep fried skin & its seasoning sauce. And not forgetting i’d just have had more gratifying duck meat for lunch yesterday. Honestly, haven’t felt a tinge of guilt, till now. Those meat would have translated into pounds in me.
Well, there’s essentially 2 basic categories of humanity in this world: Some who eat all the junk & fattening food their entire lives and not gain a pound. Others can eat nothing but air and still put on weight. I probably belong to somewhere in between.
And I feel fat now.
Having said all, I’m still majorly a chicken fan, like I’d always tell others. Its like Coca Cola & Pepsi … I would have a higher propensity to crave for chicken (or coke). Thrill me with some fried chicken or KFC anytime, I’d glady fall for it. And I have no empirical evidence nor answers to this probe of the driving mechanics behind my fall to fried chickens.
Its probably a biological default .. or flaw, in me?
